Share code online in real time
During a call, in a pairing session or when someone asks "can you send me that error?", you need a place to paste code that the other person can see right away. NoteLive gives you a monospace editor with a shareable link, where everyone sees changes as they're typed.
Paste your codeHow to share code in 3 steps
- Open notelive.app/new.
- Paste your snippet, log or command.
- Press "Copy link" and send it in your chat or call. The other person sees it instantly and can edit it too.
Why it works well for code
- Monospace font, so indentation and alignment are kept exactly as you pasted them.
- Real time. Both of you edit the same text; changes merge without overwriting each other.
- No sign-up. Nobody on the call needs an account to see the code.
- Large pastes. Up to 100,000 characters: enough for long stack traces and logs.
- Temporary by default. Free notes are deleted after 24 hours, so snippets don't stay online forever.
Typical uses
- Sharing an error message or stack trace with a teammate.
- Walking someone through a terminal command during support.
- Writing pseudocode together in a technical interview.
- Moving a snippet from one machine to another, for example from your Mac to a Windows test machine.
A word of caution
Anyone with the link can read the note. Never paste API keys, passwords, tokens or .env files.
Paste, share the link, debug together.
