Cookie policy
Last updated: 9 October 2026
Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. NoteLive uses very few of its own; most of the cookies you may see come from Google's advertising on the free plan.
1. Cookies and storage we use
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
lang | NoteLive | Remembers the language you chose. | 1 year |
sb-…-auth-token (local storage) | NoteLive / Supabase | Keeps you logged in if you have an account. Strictly necessary. | Until you log out |
These are necessary for the service or remember choices you made, so they don't require consent.
2. Advertising cookies (free plan only)
On the free plan, Google AdSense shows ads next to the editor. Google and its partners may use cookies such as __gads, __gpi, __eoi or IDE to show, measure and, if you consent, personalize ads, as well as cookies like FCCDCF and FCNEC to store your consent choice. Durations vary, typically up to 13 months.
When you first visit from the European Economic Area, the UK or Switzerland, a consent banner lets you accept or reject these cookies. If you reject them, Google may still show limited ads that don't use cookies for personalization. You can change your choice at any time from the "Privacy and cookie settings" link the banner leaves on the page.
Full list and details: cookies used by Google advertising products.
Pro users don't see ads, so these cookies aren't loaded for them.
3. Payments
When you subscribe to Pro, you complete the payment on Stripe's pages, which set their own cookies to process the payment and prevent fraud. See Stripe's cookie policy.
4. How to control cookies
Besides the consent banner, you can block or delete cookies from your browser settings. Blocking all cookies may stop you from staying logged in.
